Day 11 - healing nicely!

Things are definitely on the up and it's amazing how quickly your body can sort itself out after feeling pretty terrible.
The imbalance and tinnitus remain although both to a lesser degree. I've been out and about on a few short walks around the town and whilst I'm not planning on going for a hike any time soon I'm definitely getting more confident on the move. Fast head turns still send me a bit squiffy so I'm not yet up for driving.
Sleep is still proving a little elusive - due to a combination of the tinnitus, imbalance and remaining discomfort behind the ear so I'm sleeping at an awkward angle!

The incision behind the ear is healing really nicely and although tender to touch isn't causing me any other issues. I can get it wet now so hair-washing has become much less tricky too.
Switch-on is this Thursday and then back to work on Monday so lots happening in the next few days. I plan to spend the next couple of days trying to be up and about as much as I can to try and sort out the imbalance. The more you get moving the quicker it's likely to improve and I'm hopeful this 'fuzzy head' feeling will clear by Thursday so I can concentrate on the 'switch-on' and put all my energy into acclimatising to the implant. We shall see!
